New Partial Backlight Control Optics

In addition to the full backlight control optics offered on LEDway streetlights, we have added new partial backlight control options.

Our new partial backlight control optics stop backlight at approximately 1 mounting height behind the pole compared to the approximate ½ mounting height performance of our full backlight control optics.

These new optics are ideal for applications that desire some level of pedestrian illumination, while still controlling excess light pollution beyond sidewalks.

Illustrations represent LEDway streetlights with and without backlight control optics.

Illustration one shows a Type 2M LEDway luminaire with no backlight control.

Illustration two shows the backlight control achieved with current LEDway full backlight control optic (Type 2MB).

Illustration three depicts partial backlight control (Type 2MP), providing a solution for applications where some level of sidewalk illumination is desired.
